My Family
On Call

My Family On Call is a new program created to help connect Jewish families away from home with a supportive community here in Cincinnati. The program reaches out to our community members from other cities during what is an extremely emotional and frightening chapter in their lives. For more information or to volunteer, please contact Lindsey Wade at 513.985.1522 or email lwade@jfedcin.org

True Story
“Sam” contacted J-Assist some months ago.
Working in an industry that took a hard hit during the economic crisis, Sam experienced one month, followed by two months, followed by almost a full year of no commission income, creating a deep dent in Sam’s family livelihood.  The Federation’s J-Assist spread the word to our network of donors.  Sam reports: “When I came to the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati I had already received a notice to vacate my premises with no place to go.  Within one day I was notified that I had a place to go if I needed it.  No questions asked.  Above and beyond my problems there was hope.” Read more
